The BigDataOcean project was presented at the EU Project Networking session that took place in the context of the 14th Extended Semantic Web Conference (ESWC) on the 31st of May 2017 in Portoroz, Slovenia.
The goal of this event is to provide an opportunity for knowledge sharing and data and technology transfer between EU and national projects, as well as for disseminating research results with the research community and the conference participants.
In addition, BigDataOcean was represented in the posters and demos session of the last morning of the ESWC conference. The BigDataOcean pilots and platform attracted much interest from the audience and the conference participants, especially because of the interesting domain – oceanographic data and maritime applications – they address, the heterogeneity of the data they bring together, and the different kinds of stakeholders they cover.
