The second plenary meeting of Big Data Ocean took place on 26th and 27th of June 2017 at Madeira hosted by Uninova. About twenty participants attended the event representing BigDataOcean partners. Fruitful discussions took place in both days of the event.

During the first day of the meeting, work package leaders updated consortium members about deliverables’ status and defined the plan for future actions, after taking into account the consortium’s feedback. In the afternoon, the discussion was focused on exploitation and business cases development, dissemination activities and coordination of the project.
BigDataOcean’s Technical Manager presented the project’s activities at CEN Workshop of BigData.
During the second day BigDataOcean partners attended the CEN Workshop of BigData, where BigDataOcean’s Technical Manager presented the project’s activities. Then, the workshop was followed by technical sessions related to the BigDataOcean activities according to the meeting’s agenda. Particularly, the project’s architecture, linked data and knowledge extraction were the topics under discussion.
The project’s second plenary meeting concluded with a review of responsibilities and the corresponding action plans for the upcoming months.
